Summer is here in full force… enjoy it while it lasts by visiting the Orofino Farmers Market where you will find all kinds of produce, crafts, delicious edibles and a lot more. We will be having our usual raw, gluten-free granola, almonds and Canadian honey along with red potatoes, sweet onions, cabbage, bush beans, zucchini, blueberries, strawberries, (maybe some raspberries), and a few other items sprinkled in. And don’t forget to check out Jolene’s home-made pies… delicious! Hope to see you at the market.

Hello Everyone,

Really don’t know where all the time has gone. Wasn’t really ready for July and here it is August already!

This year I have 2 new breads: Molasses Oatmeal and Potato Bread–to add to my regular line. For a quick treat to munch on while you are visiting everyone I have Brownies and individual Cinnamon Rolls.

And to tempt you taste buds, I have a new jam for you to try. It is Carrot Cake Jam; and it is marvelous on toast with cream cheese under. And the calorie count is only 48 calories per tablespoon. So come see me for a real taste treat.

Wow! July is at an end! Seems like it just barely started and now we are almost in August. But at least a few more crops are starting to come from the garden and to the farmers market. This week we will have blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, potatoes, a few onions, zucchini, beets, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, and Swiss chard. We will also have our “regular” gluten-free, raw granola, almonds, and raw Canadian honey. Oh yes, and Jolene will have a few pies as a fund raiser for college. Stop by and visit.

Today we have raspberries, lettuce, radicchio, broccoli, carrots, beets, Swiss chard, and a few other items along with our usual granola, honey and almonds. Jolene made another batch of pies as a fundraiser for her next year at LCSC. The flavors are: strawberry/rhubarb, apple and mixed berry. Come on by and visit.

Farmers Market for July 10, 2012

I’m not sure what it is about Tuesdays this year but we have had either cold, rain, or wind every Tuesday since the market started. Even as I write this, it is cloudy and humid outside with a rain shower just a few minutes ago. But we plan to be at the market with our produce, raw almonds, granola and honey… along with a few pies by Jolene. The produce will include lettuce, spinach, beets, Swiss chard, artichokes, broccoli, carrots (maybe), a few strawberries and some raspberries. Unfortunately, we might have an appointment toward the evening… if so we will have to leave the market by about 5:00. Hope to see you there.

Get Ready for the 4th of July!

We are looking forward to celebrating our nations independence this 4th of July! And to get ready, we hope you’ll come by and visit our booth at the Orofino Farmers Market on July 3. We will have some strawberries, rhubarb, lettuce, Swiss Chard, beets, carrots (I hope), spinach, broccoli, and artichokes… yes, artichokes from our own garden. Will also have our gluten-free raw granola, almonds, and honey from Canada. As a special treat, Jolene will not only be playing some patriotic songs on the harp, but she has made some pies for sale (strawberry/rhubarb & apple) to raise money for college. Hope to see you there!

For market June 26. Summer Hill Farm will be having spinach, lettuce and spring mix. We should also have a very limited supply of beets and, perhaps, some Swiss chard. Strawberries and rhubarb should round out our produce section so be sure to check out our gluten-free raw granola and almonds along with our raw honey from Canada. See you at the market.
