Get Involved

Orofino Farmers Market is your local community market – help make it that much better by volunteering a bit of your time! The market is run entirely by dedicated members who donate their time because they believe in the market and the service it provides for not only our great vendors but also the community. Our hours and talents can only go so far and we’d welcome any help you’d like to give. We are always on the lookout for musicians appropriate to a family setting, and currently need someone who could help out with photographing and social media. Other ideas would be someone to work on ideas for special market events or kid’s activities. Start Here

Our Misson

Orofino Farmers Market is intended to provide an outlet for local food growers, producers, and craftspeople and to provide consumers with direct-from-farm fresh produce and products in a family-oriented, enjoyable community event.

History of Orofino Farmers Market

In the spring of 2009, UI Clearwater County Extension organized a series of informational meetings for a group of interested local growers and craftspeople to develop the structure and marketing activities for a startup farmers market in Orofino, Idaho. In July of that year the market opened with eight vendors, live music, and a tremendous community response. Every year since then, the market attracts new growers, vendors, and customers, while providing the community with fresh local produce, homemade food items, and unique handmade gifts. In 2018 we had a record-high day of 25 vendors, with a total of 51 different vendors participating though the season.

Community Donations

Orofino Farmers Market is proud of our community and patrons and thankful for support they show us each season. In 2017, we used our funds from vendor fees to show our gratitude by making donations to the following worthy local causes: Orofino Elementary School’s food pantry and their school garden, and Orofino High School’s Culinary class and Science class for use in their programs. In 2019, we were pleased to make donations to the Orofino Elementary and Peck Elementary Schools' gardening programs, and in 2020 we donated money for two local student's education and training.
